Drainage

Designed with horizontal and vertical drainage capabilities. Drainage is not an issue for UltraBaseSystems panels. They are designed to prevent rainwater from seeping over the turf and affecting the players by facilitating the flow of a large volume of water both vertically and horizontally.

Cell structure

They designed the base panel system to replace compacted rock, asphalt or concrete, which means they have to make something that would be able to support the same load capacity. By designing the panels with a hexagonal cell structure, they created a static load capacity for the lowest panel location equivalent to 26.3 kgf/cm2 (374 psi). The load values when placed on a full downward cell rib are 998 psi (70.17 kgf/cm2). 

Grip

The panels each contain 3,000 turf grips. These patented grips create a high coefficient of friction that eliminates the turf movement problems you may encounter with other base systems such as stone. Combined with felt or foam covered turf, our grips create a stationary turf system that does not move when properly installed on UltraBaseSystems panels.
