The MLM1 is the device that combines an iOS camera with radar processing in one pocket-sized unit. The radar captures ball and club data at impact while the camera records the swing and traces ball flight, so every number arrives alongside the video that produced it.

Use the MLM1 outdoors at the range or indoors into a net. Outdoors it needs roughly 60–80 ft of ball flight; in net mode it needs about 8 ft of ball flight with the net around 8 ft in front of the ball. Either way, you hit a real ball and get real data.

Which devices work with the MLM1?

The MLM1 is iOS only and needs an iPhone or iPad running iOS 13 or later. For outdoor use, iPhone 7 and up (iPhone 8+ recommended) or an iPad from 2017 with 1080p support; net mode requires iPhone 8th generation and up, or a select iPad model.

Can I use it indoors?

Yes. In net mode the MLM1 needs around 8 ft of ball flight with the net roughly 8 ft in front of the ball, in a well-lit space. Outdoors, allow about 60–80 ft of ball flight.

Does it measure spin?

Spin rate is measured when you pair the MLM1 with Titleist RCT golf balls.

Does the ball I use matter?

Yes. The MLM1 assumes a premium ball; worn range balls can read short, and whiffle or foam balls cannot be used.

Does it account for weather or altitude?

No. Readings are normalised to a premium ball at sea level, so wind, weather, slope and elevation aren't factored in — at higher altitude, distances may read shorter.

Do I need a subscription?

The core app works without one. An optional MLM1 Premium Membership adds features such as more video storage, slow-motion replays, shot apex, Rapsodo Combine and personalised Insights.
