ProTee VX Golf Launch Monitor

ProTee VX is a ceiling-mounted indoor golf launch monitor built for home golf simulators, coaching studios, club fitting and commercial golf facilities. Developed in the Netherlands, it combines dual high-speed cameras, machine vision and A.I.-assisted club tracking to measure detailed ball and club data with feedback in less than 0.3 seconds.

The overhead design keeps the hitting area clear and supports both right- and left-handed golfers without moving the unit. No marked golf balls or club stickers are required, and ProTee VX has no recurring ProTee software fees. ProTee officially supports GSPro integration alongside other compatible simulation platforms.

⚙️ Dual High-Speed Cameras & A.I. Club Tracking

ProTee VX measures ball and club information independently using high-speed cameras. According to ProTee, the ball parameters used to simulate flight are measured directly by the camera system, while A.I. is primarily used to detect and track the golf club.

This allows the VX to analyse the golf club in three dimensions without requiring physical tracking stickers, while ball speed, launch and spin remain independent from the club-data calculation.

🖥️ ProTee Labs – No Annual ProTee Software Fee

ProTee Labs is the software companion for the ProTee VX. It provides shot analysis, customizable data displays, swing-video integration, session statistics, practice tools and simulator-software connectivity.

ProTee currently states that the VX has no recurring software fees. This means there is no mandatory annual ProTee subscription simply to continue using the core VX and ProTee Labs platform.

Third-party simulation software may have its own licence or subscription costs.

🎮 ProTee VX & GSPro Compatibility

ProTee VX has an official GSPro integration through ProTee Labs. ProTee confirms support for all GSPro gameplay modes, including multiplayer.

ProTee also lists compatibility with TGC 2019 and other supported golf simulation software. Always check the current third-party software requirements before purchasing an additional licence.

📐 Room & Ceiling Requirements

Because the ProTee VX measures the ball and club around the hitting area, it does not rely on several metres of ball flight for tracking. This makes it particularly suitable for permanent indoor simulator rooms.

ProTee recommends a mounting height of approximately 9–10 ft / 2.75–3.05 m, with approximately 3.0 m considered optimal. The maximum detection area is 65 × 55 cm / 25 × 21 in.

Your room still needs sufficient width, depth and clearance for a safe golf swing, impact screen and projector installation.

🌐 Connectivity

The VX requires a minimum 1 Gbit network connection, with Cat6 Ethernet or higher recommended by ProTee. The launch monitor must be connected directly to the PC rather than through a router or network switch.

A 10-metre Cat6 network cable and USB-to-Ethernet adapter are supplied with the unit.

🛠️ ProTee VX Installation & Setup

Installation involves mounting the VX above the hitting area, connecting it directly to the PC, installing ProTee Labs and calibrating the camera system with the supplied calibration plate.

Correct calibration matters for accurate measurements. ProTee recommends positioning the calibration plate centrally, aligned with the impact screen and level with the hitting surface.
